On April 2, 2011, God spoke to me at our Women’s YES Conference and I said YES, which was already in God’s plan years ago, to minister the Word of God. When I accepted my call to preach God’s Word, it was one of the greatest things I have ever done. I preached my first message on October 9, 2011 entitled Let Go and Let God under the leadership of Bishop Sam and Pastor Lurna Cumby. I was born in Wortham, TX to the late Otis Williams and Sammie Lee Williams. I have 21 siblings and attended school in Wortham. I was blessed to become the wife of David Horn on February 6, 1988. God blessed us to be the parents of two children, Justin Williams and Akiko Horn, which have been the most joyful times in my life. I have also been blessed to be the grandma to Jade Simms, which has brought me such joy. I presently work at Mexia State Supportive Living Center and have been there for the past 23 years. I became a member of Behind the Veil Worship Center in November 2008 and I also sing with the Praise and Worship Team and BTV Choir. I am a part of the Children’s Ministry on Wednesday nights where I teach all of the children about the goodness of Jesus Christ. My prayer is that I allow God to use me to the fullest and that someone will come to know Christ through me – speaking God’s Word.
